GIANTS TROUNCE DALLAS....
With talk of a Super Bowl appearance surrounding the Dallas Cowboys all week, the New York Giants forced their way into the conversation with a convincing 28-14 trouncing of Dallas in East Rutherford, N.J.

The Giants used a balanced attack featuring quarterback Eli Manning scattering the ball to his receivers while running back Brandon Jacobs bruised Dallas defenders with 137 yards on the ground and a 5-yard touchdown run in the first half. Manning posted 217 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick. He connected with tight end Jeremy Shockey on five occasions including a 6-yard touchdown pass that gave New York a 21-3 lead.

This was the second time the NFC East rivals collided this year, with the Cowboys offense having their way with New York in a 45-35 romp in week one. This time around, the Giants defense limited Dallas to a mere 206 yards of total offense. The lone touchdown scored by the Cowboys came in the form of a fourth quarter fumble by Jacobs, recovered and returned for a 12-yard touchdown by linebacker Anthony Spencer. The victory by the Giants put them at the top of their division for the first time this season.
