The sad saga of fighters passing away continues. Tony Thorton died today as a result of injuries he suffered from a motorcycle crash a week ago. Of course he's not up there with the likes of Arguello, Forrest and Gatti but he was a good blue collar fighter that fought on Espn numerous times. RIP Punching Postman!

Solid fighter. Legit contender was unfortunate to meet Roy Jones at the very peak of his abilities. I recall he took about 25 straight hooks from Jones.Seemed like a good citizen and gentleman.

Agrred. Thorton was a decent fighter and he gave a near prime James Toney a good tussle. RJ was unfairly criticized for fighting a "postman" but Thorton was more deserving than many others and RJ was off the charts at the time. Another one of the good guys is gone at much too early of an age.
