Too close to home, and very sad...

I take it most of you have read in some small detail the terrorist bombings that took place in Bali at the weekend.

At this stage it looks like a host of New Zealanders travelling and holidaying there were very lucky - deaths may be just a handful out of the 200 minimum feared deceased.

But my heart goes out to their families and all those of our Australian friends and neighbours who lost many more - along with the local Indonesians.

There are many theories already circulating as to who committed the act of terrorism - but all that matters most is that innocent people are again the victims.

Sept 11 struck home in the US just what a turbulent, scary world we all live in - now this happens in our own little corner we normally consider paradise.

I'm usually a pretty upbeat, happy guy - but sometimes it just gets real hard to get out of bed in the morning to confront all the anger and hatred.

Thanks for reading

Our heart goes out to you my friend. It's happening all over but when it's close to home it has a different meaning. I don't know what goes through the heads of these people. Why are they so bent on destroying the freedoms that others enjoy. We are all thinking of the people touched by this injustice.

My prayers also go out to those families that lost loved ones.

There is no mystery about who did this. IMO, alqaeda made a mistake by comitting a terrorist act in Bali. They woke up a gov't who has been accused of doing absolutely nothing about terrorist activities in their country. Now the Indonesian gov't is forced to take action, along with the other countries who have interests in that area. Eventually these terrorists will be running out of places to hide. Lets hope it is sooner than later.

I know how you feel Anders, alot of are feeling that way over here also.

Not only do they set a bomb off and kill innocent people but they set the first one off so the people run to a area to get away then they set off the second one. How sick is that. We must search the terrorists out wherever they go. No place can be safe for them.
