Too early for system play?

I know the old system that you take an unranked home favorite over a ranked away dog, and tonight's Marquette at ND fits the bill.

To anyone who uses this system (I haven't much), are the rankings too unreliable at this point to make this system profitable yet? Or does it make it better, since the oddsmakers seem to think that the ND home advantage is worth more than Marquette's talent.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would wait until the teams in question have played at least 5 games a piece. The rankings right now are very unreliable, in my opinion.

I used this system last year although it was toward the end of the season. Seems I read somewhere it hit nearly 75% of the time. Don't hold me to that # but I do remember one day when it hit all three games that the system applied to. GL

Thanks for the responses guys. Man, this is killing me. Marquette now up to +4. Don't want to buck the system but don't want to lay 4 on a team that is IMHO inferior.

May have to do the unthinkable and just (gasp) not bet!:p

A word to the wise,

This system did not do well in college football this year as it has in the past.
