(this was a challenge by ferdville)

Name the top 10 greatest Canadian Political Leaders and let's hear what made them so great. I LOVE WR...you're up... 'eh?.... :)

so you basically know nothing about Canada. that is fine;

Canada is the largest energy supplier to the US.
Canada is one of only a few nations that will grow and can increase oil/natural gas production.
Canada has some of the best oil/gas companies doing international oil/gas (that means finding oil around the world)

25% of all manufacturing jobs in the US depend on exports to Canada.

84% of all exports from Canada go to the US, many (millions) of Americans have jobs from these imports. (do not have the exact number)

by the way who cares if you know nothing about Canada, it makes no difference.

one final note China and a company from Brazil are looking at one base metal company. And another comapny from China (owned by the government) wants to start buying into the Alberta oil sands.

Alberta oil sands : is one of the largest (if not largest ) oil deposit in the world......

have a nice day

thanks

selkirk, not defending Manson, but I think he was calling on I LOVE WR, the United States basher, to talk about his great country and to even name 10 past leaders (which he probably can't do without doing an internet search). You know, how he is always putting CANADA, CANADA, etc in all his posts and bashing.

and dude...cmon...you're atlking about China looking for a goddamn metal company???? Man you are a space cadet. That has NOTHING to do with the topic.

^^^ The above statement shows me that the U.S. is Canadas lifeline!!!!!!! Financially and when it comes to threats from other nations. Canada's economy would implode if it weren't for the U.S.!! Thanks for that statistic, that's classic!

now...back to the topic....GREAT CANADIAN POLITICAL LEADERS..(guess that guy couldn't name any) :142lmao:

i think selkirk did go a little off topic
even some of his post may be inaccurate, its refreshing that
he's not acting like WR by straying WAY off topic by
talking about grade school. Manson is always backing up his
shit. I wonder how many cups of coffee he drinks. hehe
no offense manson, you do have good political points and
like to stay on topic. keep it up

CM it is a waste of my time but will give you the answer since you are fairly ignorant on the country to the north.

by the way Canada does depend on the States, most Canadians are smart enough to realize that, it is a shame that some Americans are dumb enough not to realize how important world trade is to their economy.

of coarse you would not care if millions of US jobs would be lost or if you had to push your car.....okay I am assuming you own a car

here is your answer,

CD Howe
Chretian
Mulroney
Trudeau
Tommy Douglas (socialist-Look out CM)
Diefenbaker
Levesque (founded the PQ)
Bouchard (almost broke up the country)

Martin current PM saved Canada from debt
Pearson he helped sent up the peace keeper at the UN, you know the people the US now wants to come into Iraq.

believe that is ten if you can count that far. have a nice day.

thanks

do you know how he saved canada from debt?

He taxed the genitals off of every Living canuck!

as far as your UN comment. Koffi Annan still, yes girls, still
believes that we needed UN ok to invade Iraq. Now that
WE got Saddam and put OUR boots on the ground.
the unwilling participants then, want some of the moola
i.e. rebuiilding contracts. anybody ever heard of a Neutron bomb?

Ok so you named 10 Canadian leaders...took ya that long? like 2 hours??? . Hell I could have done that.
But what made them great? Hell anyone can do an internet search and find leaders.
By the way who are those people???!! lol
I will be the first to admit that I am ignorant about Canada. I'm ignorant about Wales too, and Venezuela, and Luxumborg.

Martin lowered taxes. the government he served under wasted money but what government does not.

UN peace keepers do an important job. know someone who served (US soldiers have also served ) and it is often a thankless and difficult job.
if you do not believe me try being a peace keeper in Bosnia.

this was fun will leave it to you experts, and of coarse WR.

thanks

Manson, selkirk is the wrong guy to pick on. Probably one of the sharpest members on this site and most generous. Let's not denegrate this forum into USA vs. Canada as that is not productive. Canada is a great country full of great people. I'm sure I LOVE WR's forefathers would roll over in their graves if they knew the kind of stuff he posted here.

Cheers, eh, I love Canada, it's a great country. I'll be there all next week.

So Cal
Selkirk is the legit thing Charles, no use picking a bone with him. He has the nuts to back up what he says and usually does. Nevertheless, at the risk of offending him (I don't want to), my original challenge to Einstein WR was to name me 10 Canadian political leaders that had an effect on worldwide politics. This isn't a slam on Canada or Selkirk - it was just a jab at WR because we could give him a week and he probably hasn't figured out how to search for the answers yet. No offense Mr. Selkirk. I think most Americans are relatively happy with our relationship with Canada and realize that they play an important part in our world. Your countryman WR intimates that most Americans are "not too bright" and bashes America constantly while extoling the greatness that we know as Canada above all else.

Fine then, if he's cool with you guys then he's cool with me. I just get sick of people coming into my threads and changing the subject, then attacking me. It gets sooooooo old.
But I'm still curious as to what he meant when he said "if it weren't for Canada, Americans would be pushing our cars?"
Sorry Selkirk..by the tone of your jabs I felt like you were trying to undermind me.
The thread was for I LOVE WR but he won all kinds of money betting and I think he said he's going to the Grand Caymans...... :142lmao:
