1. Bobby Jones
2. Tiger
3. Jack
4. Hogan
5. Nelson

This is the order I would put my money on to win a "given" golf tournament on a "given" course with "given" club/ball technology. Of course those are 3 variables, but these are my top 5.

Comments: Jones was amazing and from what I have read and seen could have set records never to be broken had he continued to play. The man had a beautiful swing and a solid short game and had the same confidence that Tiger exhibits today.

Tiger, enough said....this guy is amazing.

Jack, enough said.

Hogan....best swing we have ever seen....could find his way around a golf course better than anyone we have ever seen as well.

Nelson.....the man who won like that should be in any list....WWII hurt his stats which should be taken into consideration.....but the man won and clearly was the best of his time.

:topic: I called in sick the other day (it was early in the morning and you don't have to talk to a boss) I told the guy who answered that I wouldn't be in work that day cause I was Blind. He replied "Blind?" And I said " Yeah, I can't see coming to work today!" :D

who cares about the 7 order of merits.

Would you rate the Buffalo Bills as one of the best all time NFL teams because they got to the SB 4 straight years?

In sports, if you don't win the big one you just aren't in the same league.

Not to mention that I'd be curious to see if he could even place 7 straight years in top ten of the money list on PGA. The birthplace of golf may be across the Atlantic but everyone knows that the the PGA is where it's at now.

If you havent seen the Bobby Jones video in 1930's....you would be amazed. He has ALL the shots. It shows him hitting 5 3 woods from 230yds that were all 5ft from the pin. This was using a rubber ball, wooden shaft, and a small ass wooden head.Simply amazing. If he played today with the juiced up prov1 ball and the spring like effect of titanium drivers and the computerized hand crafted putters....he would dominate the tour like he did back then.

yes.....most people have heard of Moe Norman who follow golf....the guy could hit a straight ball like no other.....a littly nutty, but he could play.....

another legendary guy was known as "Titanic" Thompson....he was the greatest pure hustler to ever play the game.....
