Murray has the ability, as we know, to play error-free tennis but in the past when he's done that he hasn't married that mistake-free, conservative approach with sufficient aggression and a gameplan designed to take the fight to his opponent.
This week he has been very aggressive while keeping his unforced error count down.
If he can do that against Federer then the Swiss will have his hands full.
Murray made the mistake of being too conservative in their last meeting at the Australian Open and Federer cashed in and blew him off the court.
That could happen here if Murray makes the same mistake again.
But if the Scot plays like he has this week with power, placement, and depth, then Federer may find the combination of a defensive wall and an opponent looking to hit winners too tough to handle.
I never like backing against Federer and his enormous arsenal but Murray has simply looked the better player.
Also, I am going to parlay Murray with Maria Sharapova...
