Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers

A match-up of two .500 teams tonight when the new-look Toronto Raptors take on the Philadelphia 76ers.

Toronto (8-8 SU and ATS) dealt Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams, and Chris Jefferies to the Chicago Bulls at the weekend in exchange for Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall, and Lonny Baxter. The acquisition of Rose should provide Vince Carter with some much-needed offensive support while Marshall has solid numbers this averaging nine points and six rebounds per game.

The Raptors covered the first two games of this road trip posting close wins against the Hawks and Magic. They were without their three soon-to-be-traded players Saturday night when they beaten at Miami. Vince Carter also missed most of the third and fourth quarters of that contest due to an injured jaw but he is listed as probable tonight.

The 76ers (9-9 SU and 8-10 ATS) have won and covered their last two at home and in their last outing Allen Iverson scorched the Hawks for 50 points. Forward Derrick Coleman has missed Philly's last two games due to a knee injury while Glenn Robinson has missed 11 games due to an ankle injury. It's almost impossible to stop AI getting his points but if he can be forced to shoot a low percentage it's difficult to see who else in the Sixers line-up can do much damage offensively.

We're expecting the new Raptors line-up to be able to stay with the 76ers tonight in a low-scoring game.
