Hayden was, and will always be, The Man in Iowa city.
And he would coach circles around Ferentz today-- even at age 87 and not having coached in almost 20 years.
The food, the beer, my friends that I've tailgated with for 25 years, the atmosphere of game day in Iowa city--
all those things will keep me buying tickets and showing up for slaughters like we will see on Saturday night.
But it would sure be nice if captain clueless announced his retirement after this 5-7 season.
