Guys had emergency eye surgery yesterday--if I can't see any better by tomorrow nite wlil pass for the week-lucky I did not go blind in my right eye-glad I caught it in time--gl Happy Turkey Day More later about it-hard typing with one finger and even seeing the keyboard

Thanks everyone-yea it as been tuff on us both lately--my wife is doing better-hope she can get a walking both on her ankle next week--but I do have a good lawyer---I had a 70% detached retina and 4 tears in it--just from getting old. Check up yesterday said ok after 1 day ok--can't do anything for 7 days-can watch football on tv but can't see it--forgive my mis spellings this--looking with one eye-patch over the over. Basically for a week can do nothing-hope I can drive in 3 weeks if I can see by then

Do have a lean for today TCU un 55'--gl

FCP-will e-mail you later with how all tis came about-I am lucky still don't know if we got it in time yet. Only time will tell. Going to rest today and hen tomorrow if I can see better look at some games.

sorry to hear it. :-(

had the same thing a few years ago. happened right before week 1 of football. it made watching the games really hard. typing and well doing anything was a total pain in the ass. it'll get weird in about 7 days if they put a gas bubble in your eye to keep the retina in place and it starts to break apart in 40 tiny bubbles.

yea glass bubble-still can not see anything out of dayi 3. So breaking into little bubbles is good? How long uontil you could start seeing out of your eye

yeah......the gas bubble for me started to break into tiny bubbles in about 5-7 days and then you are able to see 40 little bubbles move around in your eye. it's a bit freaky. at that point you can start seeing a little bit but it'll be 2 weeks before you can really see anything decently.

it's a long term recovery though to really get back to "normal". the problem i had was with my assumed vision. what i was used to before isnt quite the same. mainly i bumped into things....really minor stuff that your brain takes for granted that you sorta have to re-train your brain to learn.

the first week is the toughest. by the end of the second week you should be good

Thanks everyone and sdf for the info--I have the one where I don't have to lay face down or on my back for 3 days I can move around
