I just looked at the lines for Dec 15th and noticed that the totals are extremely low - which is understandable considering the poor performance of so many offenses this year.

ARI/NYG 37'
CIN/NYJ 35
JAX/CLE 36'
NEP/BUF 38
PHI/WAS 34
TAM/CHI 33
DAl/SEA 35'
PIT/BAL 33

Only 3 games out of 11 that have a total higher than 40. Amazing. What's even more amazing is that these numbers are still probably too high. I think the total on PIT/BAL should be about 23 instead of 33. A good prop bet for this matchup would be which will score the most points?
OFFENSE +150
DEFENSE -130

Just wanted to pipe in something. The average total this year thus far is 40.43. This is down from 40.75 last week.

Good luck.

When I first saw the lines, they were without
totals, and I kept putting a U next to the
spread because I sensed a STRONG feeling in
that direction...there are some good defense-
ive matchups this weekend...this is a good
weekend for BOTH SIDES covering on a teaser..

Hawk, you're not alone in hating unders but it's usually the smarter way to bet. Up until a couple of years ago, there were consistently more unders than overs, although not by much, generally something like 53% - 47%. The general public doesn't like unders, I assume because you never know if your game will stay under, but if it ever goes over the total you know you're locked for that play. Personally, I don't mind playing unders at all, it can make a boring game worthwhile.

I have no idea what will happen this weekend. I'm the world's worst capper as I've said many times. If I posted my own personal picks and everyone faded them you guys would make a killing.
