Totals

Can anybody tell me aproximately when they start putting up totals in college bb? Thanks.

a few do already. i'm not sure why all books dont. i guess they are very scared or clueless about totals (must be harder for cbb since there are so many teams to follow and the player turnover can be quite high).

i've seen olympic and 5dimes offer totals amongst others.

but i'm guessing the books would like to see the teams get a few game under their belts AND see some games on tv before everyone starts offering them

i guess i understand now yyz..you're saying books dont post totals b/c they dont know much about the teams. but i dont see what that has to do with the "tourney" games in general.

These "tournies" involve a lot of teams that would never meet otherwise. Thus, the bookmaker has little to go on. They don't know a lot about certain teams, and are really just guessing as best as they can. they are much more apt to be correct with their power numbers on major teams and match ups, IMO.
