Thanks for the heads-up TU ... the price would have fallen even further by the time I had planned to look at their odds :D

Outright play (total stake per play: 1.5pts)

Padraig Harrington to win 14/1 e.w. @ GolfingGods ['w/o Woods, Mickelson, Els and Singh' market]
An earlier play than expected, but can't pass up this one. A winner in Florida two weeks ago and a runner-up in each of the last two years, Harrington was a strong fancy for the standard outright market. But to take out the four players ahead of him in the ratings and leave him not having to win the event for a decent payout is much preferable alternative.

I had to laugh at myself on Harrington. I saw TU's post post also Stan and thought WOW that is some good odds--beat it over to GG before odds changed and after I wagered--I realized Shit I already bet that at open.---not using him as play--just showing as you get older you get forgetful :)

I find that by the time the tournament has started on Thursday, I've forgotten what I bet on Monday ... but not really on the same day ;)

Further outright plays (total stake per play: 1.5pts)

Darren Clarke to win 22/1 e.w. @ GolfingGods ['w/o Woods, Mickelson, Els and Singh' market]
Adding two more players for this market. Els can be discounted this week, but not the other three and that could mean a payout as high as 8th place. That was the mark that Clarke finished on last week despite his nine in the first round and he has finished inside the top-8 in three of his last starts in Florida, including the 2003 Players Championship when he finished 6th. In great form and showed great character to bounce back after that start last week, he really should contend again this week.

Chad Campbell to win 33/1 e.w. @ GolfingGods ['w/o Woods, Mickelson, Els and Singh' market]
Campbell also opened with a 76 last week, but came through the field to finish 8th alongside Clarke. And in 2003, he also finished in 6th place alongside Clarke, so if the Ulsterman is going to contend this week, the omens are good for the Texan. He is a winner in this State - the 2004 Bay Hill Invitational - and he has had six top-10 finishes in this State since the start of the 2003 season. Should be closer to these odds in the standard outright market.

What about that Harrington.....down to 5-1 already!!

Been looking at getting more involved in match bets. Makes long stretches between outright success easier to take.

After reading Ernie's comments about this place i've been looking to fade him. His course form is not the greatest here. So lets go against him with the new #1, Mickelson & Clarke. Mickelson arrived early and appears to be focused for this event. Clarke in good form so we'll see what happens.

Mickelson over Els +100 Olympic (Ties Lose)
Singh over Els -120 Olympic (Ties Lose)
Clarke +2.5 strokes over Els -120 BetFred (36 Holes)

GL :D

got a couple @ Oly both -110
G Ogilvy over J Ogilvie
Cink over Z Johnson

On outset appeared to be lots good ones but seems they pitted matches with course form vs current. While I do not put high emphasis on course form I do more so in these top events. Couldn't find much where all elements clicked. These 2 were marginal--Going with Geoff and lost on same match last week, just deem him more consistant--and giving Cink nod as steady eddie over 1st timer here.

and a few more 72 holes and a prop

Choi -110 over Baddely @ Boyles
Verplank +105 over Maru @WTTS

Think Badds might have tough time with driving here--he gotby with it last week with punishing rough but won't be the margin for error here.

Giving Verplank another look after he killed me wd last week especially non posted selections.

and a prop on finishing position @ SIA
Donald 30th or worse 1.83
If I knew they wouldn't void 1/2 of wager I'd split my account on each side of this one and try middle--but not messing with it--I'm feuding with them as is.

Finishing position

A Scott finishes 35th or better
1.83
A Scott finishes 26th or worse
1.83

Heres a little on rough this week.

That rough is way up," said Ponte Vedra Beach resident Fred Funk, who played the Stadium Course last Monday before going to Bay Hill. "It will be every bit as tough as the Bay Hill rough, and that was higher than we've ever seen it."

Figure Vijay will be wanting Another strong showing, may end up Playing him as an Outright.

Vijay Singh OV/Ernie Els-1.20

Like the reasoning Stanley put on his Outright on Campbell and Howell isn't one of the four biggies.

Chad Campbell OV/Charles Howell-1.15

adding 72 holes
Kelly -110 over Couples @ VIP
Lehman -110 over Couples @ $plays

Don't care much for Freddie here--161st DA and 141st scor ave on year not condusive here--however wet conditions will be plus with his distance--but a negative if rain falls while he plays--don't know if its the no glove or back but he often struggles in the elements.

Let's add a few Outrights.

Hard to pass Up 40-1 on Davis, he could, couldn't he?

Davis Love III WINS PLAYERS CHA+40.00

Going with Vijay again at 8-1, 2.5 times could bring me a nice return.

Vijay Singh WINS PLAYERS CHAMPI+8.00

Looking at Another Matchup or two

Last couple of years have done much better and prefer to play day to day, but this seems too good to me to pass. Have to go with LIA.

1st round 3 balls:

Sabbatini +175 over Beem/Tway (365)
G Ogilvy +160 over Perry/Sutton (365)
J ogilvie +128 over Gogel/Bateman (5 dimes)

GOOD LUCK

1st rd @ WSEX - 1/2 stroke
Johnson +104 over Leonard

Note there are some shakey 1st rd scoring props out in my view @ Boyles in particular.Normal I will not wager an under on these but in light of last years scores in 15 mph winds with hard greens vs projected 5 mph with soft greens these lines look high to me--beware don't bite on any sucker lines on these like 365 has up where they have 5 diiferentscores--get one score over/under
