I am the commish in our league, and I need to approve or deny a trade. Pending Matt forte for James jones. Guy giving up forte is winless, and guy giving up jones is 3-1. It's a ppr league. I feel that jones is by far the better player with forte being injured. What should I do? I am leaning with the deny.

totally unfair and not in keeping with the standards of fair play. I am also a commish and not only would I deny it I would issue a stern warning to both and that kind of shit pisses me off so much that I think I would have probably told both players that they are no longer allowed to make any future trades between them and kick them out of the league next year.

THAT KIND OF SHIT HAS NO PLACE IN THE GAME THAT PEOPLE PAY MONEY TO PLAY

Forte is ready to rock and roll after his showing yesterday

Chicago running back Matt Forte finished with 22 carries for 107 yards -- both season highs -- during the Bears' 41-3 rout of Jacksonville in Week 5. Forte, who was in the starting lineup for the second straight game after overcoming a knee injury that kept him out for Week 3, also added two receptions for 20 yards. It was the first time he surpassed 100 rushing yards since racking up 133 yards at Philadelphia on Nov. 7, 2011.
(Updated 10/8/12)

Fantasy Analysis

Backed by a solid average of 4.9 yards per carry, it appears Forte is no longer slowed by an ankle injury. While his 100 yards are in impressive feat, the most recognizable aspect of Forte's outing Sunday was his dominance in carries as he finished with 18 more attempts than Michael Bush. In fact, the team's third-string back Armando Allen had more carries than Bush (5-4). Fantasy owners should continue to roll with Forte as a high-end option in all formats following the Bears' upcoming bye when they face Detroit in Week 7.

james jones

Packers wide receiver James Jones, who was expected to step up in Greg Jennings' absence, caught four passes for 46 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Colts.
(Updated 10/7/12)

Fantasy Analysis

Jones was targeted seven times, scoring on a six-yard pass in the second quarter and an eight-yard pass in the fourth. While he wasn't overly impressive and didn't come through with big yardage numbers, Jones' owners aren't going to complain about him leading the team in targets and scoring two touchdowns. The Packers face the Texans in Week 6, and -- though their first four games -- Houston holds opposing wide receivers to the fewest Fantasy points in the NFL. Jones' value could take a hit both because of his opponent and if Jennings plays, so monitor the situation carefully as the week progresses. For now, consider Jones anywhere from a WR2 (if Jennings is out) to a flex play in 14-team-or-deeper leagues (if Jennings plays).

Yes, by a large margin. You are talking about the starting RB of a 4-1 team being traded for a fourth receiver, when Jennings is healthy, on a 2-3 or 1-4 team I can't remember at present. Jones is a bench player at best. Forte is an elite RB when healthy. That is not a fair trade in any league.

Agreed. But his words were:
I feel that jones is by far the better player with forte being injured.
I don't agree with that statement
