Expectations were high for
Mikel Leshoure after a breakout performance against the Titans in Week 3. That wasn't the case. Leshoure struggled to find running room against the Vikings in Week 4 and when he finally did on his longest run of the day, he fumbled. Leshoure totaled 28 rush yards on 13 carries -- 14 of which came on his best run which ended with him coughing up the ball. He was more impressive as a receiver, catching four short passes for 37 yards. Leshoure did lose some playing time late in the game -- when the Lions went into hurry-up mode he was on the sideline and
Joique Bell took over. Bell wound up leading the team in receiving yards with 72 on six catches, 56 of those yards coming on the Lions' hurry-up drive.

Fantasy Analysis
The matchup was more challenging than advertised: Of Leshoure's 13 runs, nine went for fewer than 4 yards. Six went for 1 yard or
fewer. Leshoure looked a little tentative and did some dancing in the backfield before trying to make his move. It's proof that he's still developing as a back and isn't ready to be a monster rusher. The Lions' use of Joique Bell late is also further proof that the team can go in a number of directions at running back throughout a game and thus the season. Leshoure and the Lions are on bye in Week 5 before playing at the Eagles in Week 6.
