Trade Rumors in Tampa

Down here in Florida, radio stations are proclaiming a trade between the Devilrays and the Cubs.

Fred Mcgriff to the Cubs for some suppose young prospects rumors are they are going to wait till after all-star game to announce this.

According to ESPN, the trade has been worked out between the two teams pending approval from McGriff, since he does have a no-trade clause in his contract.

that the trade has been completed and

Tonight on the news they said the Fred Mcgriff trade wasn't looking good. They said that he doesn't want to travel again and his family doesn't want to move. Also said he doesn't want to pay state taxes. Which I found to be funny. Nice of them to let us know this.
Since I'm a anti-cubs fan this week and taking the heat at work.

My Rumor Mill has it, he won't come to Chicago until they get a new right fielder who can catch the ball. Said he wasn't impressed by the way the ball hit off his head 2x last week for homeruns.

Trade does appear to have fallen through-
McGriff invoking no-trade clause. He can
continue to play in Tampa where they draw
mostly flys, like the south side Chicago
entry.
