Round 1 plays (2pts):

Carl Pettersson to beat Chris Kirk -116 @ Bet365
Pettersson is much more consistent - he hasn't missed a cut since March - and he has a good record on this course with top-40 finishes in each of his last five visits. Kirk finished 138th when he made his sole appearance at TPC River Highlands two years ago.

Gary Woodland to beat Davis Love -111 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5Dimes, Stan James, The Greek and Carib]
It has been over a decade since Love played in this event, so it is a surprise to see him here. Given that he has yet to finish ahead of Gary Woodland in any event so far in 2013, he may struggle to do so this week with his opponent showing enough form to have finished in the top-20 in his last two starts.

Round 2 plays (4pts):

D,J, Trahan to beat Justin Thomas -145 @ 5Dimes
Easy to back Trahan in this situation. Not only is he a seasoned PGA Tour pro playing against a golfer from Alabama University on a sponsor's invitation, but he has three top-20 finishes in his last four visits to TPC River Highlands. He clearly can and has played well on this course adn will be looking to improve on his current position, even though he is already ahead of Thomas after day one.

Bo Van Pelt to beat John Rollins -116 @ Bet365 [also available @ Paddy Power]
Two players with good course form - Rollins has been 2nd and 4th in the last two years, whereas Van Pelt has six top-25 finishes in his last eight visits - but it was Van Pelt who played much better yesterday even though they both shot the same score. Van Pelt was 1st for driving accuracy, 35th for greens in regulation and 1st for scrambling; Rollins was 116th, 54th and 36th for those categories, respectively. It suggest that BVP is much more capable of shooting a low score today.

Bud Cauley to beat Joanthan Byrd -130 @ 5Dimes
Opposing Byrd who is making his first return to TPC River Highlands since missing the cut in 2007 and he had missed his previous cut on this course in 2005. Currently 82nd after the 1st round, this is clearly a course that doesn't suit his game. Cauley similarly didn't play well yesterday, but he did finish in the top-25 two years ago and he dominates Byrd 11-4-2 in all rounds in 2013. He looks more likely to recover his current position.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Pettersson tb Davis -111; Reavie tb Blixt -105]
