I like all of the usual suspects with low odds, but am sticking with longshots.

Gay 40-1 win, 20-1 place, 10-1 show

Watson 40-1 win, 20-1 place, 10-1 show

Haas 50-1 win, 25-1 place, 12 1/2 show

Henry 80-1 win, 40-1 place, 20-1 show

As always, good luck to all.
I'm still hurting from Dustin's meltdown.

Round 1 play (2pts):

Kenny Perry to beat Adam Scott -120 @ Bet365 [also available @ Stan James]
Backing a regular in this event - this will be Perry's 24th visit to this event according to his interview - while Scott is making his course debut. But it is not simply a case of being familiar with the course, Perry has a great record here: he is the defending champion, holds the course record (61) and has finished in the top-15 in seven of his last eight visits. In terms of his current form, he has missed just one cut all year, has a 8-2-1 1st round h2h record against Scott over the last 12 months and is buoyed by having his old R7 irons back the week before Pebble Beach - to meet the 2010 groove regulations, he had switched to new irons this year, but they hadn't felt comfortable so he had his old clubs amended to meet the groove regulations. He enjoyed his golf more last week as a result, despite the unforgiving course conditions, and is relishing a return to one of his favourite courses.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Moore tb Scott -110; Toms tb Goosen +105; Toms tb Moore +105]

Ok guys. I'm back to posting outrights. Thought I was jinxing myself by posting but haven't won in a while so will come back. See you guys are tearing up outrights this season so here we go.

Travelers

There are a lot of guys here who are 40/1 and under who just don't win enough to warrant these odds. The biggest threat to me is Bo Van Pelt but after 4 frounds at Pebble I just dont like his chances at 22/1. Also a guy who has just one PGA Tour wins and a number of choke jobs. Mahan owns the course but his form is just not there, three MC's in a row, no thank you.
The first guy I like is Bryce Molder at 50/1. A touch short for a non winner but he gained some valuable experience when he faded in the final round at Colonial. He already has 5 top 10's this season.t19 solid enough last year.
Next up is a player I've had success backing in the past, Carl Pettersson at 100/1. Carl had last week off, I see this as an advantage, I recall an interview a few weeks ago where he said he was striking the ball great and it showed with 22 and 28 in his last two starts. Pettersson also plays his best golf in the second half of the season. He has some good decent finishes here and I believe this course sets up well for his solid iron play.
The next play is a bit speculative. Michael Sim at 100/1. Sim didn't make the weekend at Pebble but I am not to worried about that. He is coming back from an injury but did manage two back toback t27's at byron nelson and colonial. In this weaker field where birdies are important I wouldnt doubt his chances to go well this week on a course where he was in contention in his only start in 2007 until a 3rd set him back but finished with a 66. Too much talent to be 100/1. reminds me of Jason Day at the nelson. same result would be great.
My last play is Vijay Singh at 55/1. Goes a bit against the grain as he playes all four rounds at pebble and finished a respectable 40th. I think he may be inspired by playing with Tiger on Saturday. Also his ball striking is back to good but is really struggling with his putter. His 12th at memorial shows me he is almost back to his old form and if he can figure out his putting he could be a threat on a course where he has two top 5 finishes in the last three starts.

Summary

Bryce Molder 50/1
Vijay Singh 55/1
Carl Pettersson 100/1
Michael Sim 100/1

Round 2 play (4pts):

Vijay Singh to beat Jason Bohn -118 @ Unibet [also available @ Extrabet]
Backing Vijay to continue his form from yesterday. Take away his double-bogey on the 14th hole and he would have held the sole lead. And there are good reasons for ignoring that hole - it was moments before the horn was sounded for a rain delay and to three-putt from seven feet was totally at odds with the rest of his round. He has been playing better over the past month and should beat Bohn who has a good rd1 average - he has been the first round leader in two of his last five starts - but largely struggles otherwise.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Petrovic tb Bohn -105; Petrovic tb Quinney -137; Overton tb Curtis -105; Rose tb Van Pelt -125]
