On the course!
When in the taxi line in Vegas, listen for a couple who is going to "your" hotel. Ask if they would like to split the ride?

Now, you want to make sure that all you have is a carry-on bag, and that you are actually staying at a hotel close to the one you are getting dropped off at.

Let the couple get in first, so you will be first out when the cab stops.

As you approach the entrance, start to fumble for your wallet, while making conversation about what the split fare is. As the cab stops, you bolt into the crowd, and leave the couple, jaws dropped, to figure out what just happened.

Why should you have to pay a $20 fare, when someone else was willing to do it anyway?
