I'm taking my kids to Niagara Falls again in 2 weeks but this time they have passport cards to cross into Canada. Any suggestions as for things to do on that side of the falls?

In December we are going on a. Cruise for 5 days. Starting Ft Lauderdale, sailing to Labadee Haiti, then heading to Falmouth Jamaica, and then back to Ft Lauderdale. There is a casino on board. Has anyone been to either of these places while cruising? I have some research to do so I get max benefit of our times in port.

Canadian side is way better than the US side. Plenty to do. You have to do Maid of the Mist. There is so much to do on the Canadian side. You can walk under the falls, walk the whole park to Clinton Hill. Bunch of tourist things there and lots of places to eat. If you're there for dinner the Skylon Tower is a must. Just a short walk from Table rock but great views of the falls especially at nite when they light them up. Expensive tho.

We stayed in Falmouth last spring. Depends on how much time the cruise gives you. Dunn's River Falls is cool if you have the time. The people in Jamaica are really friendly and my favorite vacation place. You have to try jerk chicken and pork. My favorites or goat! Have fun!!

Stop at duty free shops before you come back to US..Unbelievable prices on booze. 4 liters of Crown Royal in a purple Crown cooler for under $80 US money.

I have found that its cheaper to NOT book an excursion through the cruise line but to just get off the boat and take a taxi to whatever it is you are interested in doing. Also,,the islands all look the same for the most part with the same shopping ,,snorkeling,,etc,,These are third world countries that make you appreciate what we have here in good ole USA,but they are beautiful islands,,,,Be careful and HAVE FUN!!!Life is short,Play hard!:toast:

Probably true but it seems everything in Jamaica is at least an hour or two away no matter where you stay.

You can stop at Anchor Bar in Buffalo before you go over the bridge. You can ship Sportsaholic some wings. Rumer has it he's paying $199 for 8 dozen.

I think they are giving us about 9 hours at each port. I plan on snorkeling and scuba diving. They gave ziplines too.
We did the maid of the mist on the US side but we are also going to do the Canadian side for a different perspective. Same as walking under the falls. We had a great time doing that too. They have a zipline on the Canadian side too. Our hotel is a block away from the falls so we are walking everywhere.

We went yesterday. Looked like the Canadian version of "Maid of the Mist" is called the "Hornblower". We went to the big observation walkway after 7pm local time, and there was no fee, but it appeared that normally you would pay an admission price. The lights from the Canadian shore that shine upon the Falls make them even more spectacular at night if u haven't seen that in the past. I

For the cruise, I have never been to Labadee, but I have been to the Cap-Haitien area where it is located. They are extremely poor, and they generally love Americans. The children who live there will all have picked up some broken English. You should be able to get lower prices from anybody there who is selling. They are slick, but know this; a Haitian laborer will work a hard 8-12 hour day and only make $8-15 US dollars a day. Your American money is powerful and worth a lot. They are also likely to pester u unmercifully especially with artwork. Much of it is good, but the guys selling it probably did not paint it.

I love Haiti.

Agree 6'5,,,in Jamaica we actually had an offer for a beach towel in exchange for ANYTHING you want from a young woman. It is sad, but again a beautiful country.
