Troops Come Home When?

Whats your best guess. I believe it to be this time next year. Less then 35000 left there by 8/1/06.
Remember 06 election year for congress. They will put heat on W H. :clap:

This is a tough question. I would be satisfied if the majority were home or redeployed for a different cause by 8/1/2006.

I would be surprised if the cuts are that dramatic by 2006, as the country is highly unstable and the prospects of turning it around that fast appear bleak. I hope Dawgball is right and the troops come home but I hope they are not deployed again on false and misleading information and I would surely hope if they are deployed again that the administration will at least have a strategy in place that is not scattered brained like the one used in Iraq. If we leave Iraq by 06 I would wager that the country will turn into a huge civil war that will eventually be won by a hard line religious sect that will encourage terror and create even more unstability within the region.

I agree 100%. And it doesn't matter if we leave in 06 or 16.

Depends on the contracts. Too much money being made over there to give up now. Just my humble opinion of course.

Completely agree with kosar.....

Put whatever puppet administration in place and whatever paper tiger security force together....the dudes they're fighting against are willing to strap on a body charge and knowingly die for thier cause....thier ragtag security will flop like a fish out of water the way our guys are getting whacked right now...

The civil war has started now, the only thing left for us is to pack up the tent and throw it into the shot-up hummer and leave town.....

They'll fight it out until the next John Gotti Mohammed emerges victorious....and then fight some more after that.....
