Don't know how true this is but I read on another site that there is a lot on inner trouble in the Saints locker room. Read that Joe Horn was messing with Willie Roaf's wife and got her pregnant, not good for the team.

I guess that the 49er's should really be a good bet this week. After comming off a loss last week in Dallas, and with the team chemistry in NO at a season low.

The story out of n.o. is true.... and it is not a good thing as you say for chemistry. I think that san fran will try and get there offense in gear for playoffs against a lay down , troubled team.... take the points in this game.......

Two other factors; I wasn't even aware of the Horn-Roaf mess. How about (now ex-Saint) Albert Connell stealing money out of Deuce McAlister's locker....twice! And now Ricky Williams says he wants to be traded to Miami. Bet SF before the line hits 3.

Here we disagree.......
49ers do not win this game.

This week, my friends,is Payback week !

Early Leans;
Saints over 49ers.
Arizona pays back 'Skins
Cincy over Titans (not too hip on this 1)

Seattle wins with revenge, which leads to.. J E T S over Raiders.

Senor Cappers' early leans are not necessarily his final selections

Profit1 .. I see your on SF, but Saints are getting the points (2.5)

49ers won the 1st meeting at SF 28-27, in that game the Saints rolled up 488 yds!
Niners haven't reached 300 yds in 4 games
& are allowing 27.5 ppg in their last 6 RGs.

If the 49ers show up they will roll. I have never seen a team quit for the year like the Saints have definitely done, and then restart their engines and decide to play again a week later. Let alone in week 17. This team might as well have cleaned out their lockers on Monday. Remember they didn't show up for the Tampa game either. Their season ended about two minutes after the onside kick against the Rams. 49ers roll!

This game is a tricky game with a number of things could happen.

Saints with arguably 2 of the Biggest busts in the league Aaron Brooks and Ricky Williams don't show up at all. 49'ers cover

49'ers show up and Saints play average, 49'ers cover

49'ers play conservative, rest players, avoid injuries, Saints cover

49'ers play average game, Saints play average game, Saints cover

Saints pull a Georgia Tech and use all distractions to somehow motivate the team. Saints cover

49'ers are weak on the road, they are excellent at home, but the Saints do have the draft bust combo in Williams and Brooks. I'm pretty sure I could knock Ricky Williams on his ass with a tackle, he's such a WIMP, with hands are like a 10 year old's kids, no wonder he can't catch!

my conclusion after some thought is to stay away from this one.

1. s.f. is marginal on the road.

2. they will not risk anything here, injury wise, and i mean nothing. they will have their hands full with either chi or g.b.

3. this is brook's wonderful opportunity to get a cheap win and buy himself some time and gloat over the win for a few months.

4. morale wise, a loss will do absolutely nothing to s.f.

True Pep i could see Brooks gloating about this win for months. Brooks is the farthest thing from a leader, had absolutely ridiculously low scores on the standardized NFl intelligence tests. He will try to throw a couple of deep bombs to Horn, that's the only way this offense will score. But all said 49'ers are not a great ROAD team, and these teams like the Saints usually always try to end the year on a good note, so that they have something to build on for next year. The BEST PLAY HERE IS A PASS. But if I had a gun to my head, if the 49'ers have any motivation for this game play them.
