Troy +9 over Texas St ****
Think Bobcats are in for a fight at home tonite . Troy has won 4 in a row and Texas is coming off a Houston blow out but did play Paul Quinn and won by +35. Those non league conf games don't help. Think they give you a false sense esp on offensive when everyone can score. Tex plays great defense and puts pressure on the ball . They like to kick out to Harrell their 5'8 pt gd to start transition. They have a solid half court offense and and work the ball to the open man. They have no inside players. Small at 6'8 170 doesn't hit the bds and loves the outside and shoots 3's . Ceaser and Martin are 6'8 and have no inside scoring except some put backs. Troy has UTEP transfer Odigie at 6'9 240. He presents a low post problem for the Bobcats tonite . He avg 10 pts and game and tonight should dominate on the paint. they also have Duke Deen at 5'10 who can score and pass. Zay williams is another 6'6 fd who is their best player and can be explosive. The other Williams is there best 3 pt shooter. Waters is the 6'5 gd who last yr led the Sun Conf in FT% and Stamply at 6'5 does everything. Rebound,score play defense and can play all 5 positions. They are not a good shooting 3 pt team or FT % team but do play some solid defense . They also have Eugene juco transfer Last year they ranked in the 300's in many off/ categories but with the addition of Odigie and some juco and transfers think they could win this outright. Cross the coach who was at UTA is terrible I hare backing him because when was at UTA he had some much talent and wasted it. Think Troy has a good chance of winning here in San Marcus tonight. I will be there sitting right behind Coach Cross giving him some adjustments to make in case we are behind.
