Defying the medical consensus and heedless of the risks, the president announces he?s taking hydroxychloroquine.

If Trump wishes to put dangerous medicines into his body, that is of course his prerogative. It?s a free country. But with his hydroxychloroquine two-step, he risks encouraging other Americans to put it into their body too. In that way, Trump?s announcement that he?s taking hydroxychloroquine echoes his handling of the pandemic: poisoning the entire body politic with chaos, misinformation, and distrust.

My mom has been taking the med 15 years for arthritis, more fear mongering from our resident mr negative, nothing to see here....it?s been a drug that?s been on the market for 50 years

So what? There are drugs that have been on the market for longer that will take you right down if they are not for a condition that you have. That's just stupid reasoning.

Fauci 2005: Hydroxycholoroquine is found to substantially reduce the corona virus load

Fauci 2020: Generic hydroxcholoroquine does nothing to reduce the corona virus load even though 50% fewer people taking it at NYU-Langone went to ICU. But expensive Remdisivir is amazing. Instead of 12 people dying, only 9 died!
