I sent this letter to Governor Cuomo:
Dear Honorable Governor Cuomo,
I was the person who advised President Trump to fast track the use of Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin through the FDA as a cure for Covid-19.. President Trump never said who gave him the information. My advice was not based on the French study, but my father's research. However, I sent President Trump the information about the French study because my father had not published a formal study before he died. I needed something concrete to show the President Trump to convince him that these drugs had a chance.
My father, Dr. Giovanni Runci, knew of this disease many years ago and he used hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin with success. I also knew that this drug combination was used with SARS patients and it was successful. I took care of SARS patients and I never got infected. I am a registered nurse and biologist. My father told me that hydroxychloroquine was effective against many viruses and bacteria, in addition to the parasite that causes malaria. Many of the people on ventilators have fluid in their lungs which is caused by a strong inflammatory reaction to the virus. The hydroxychloroquine calms down the inflammatory response so fluid does not develop and drown the patient. People die from suffocation of fluid in the lungs.
My father's research was impeded by the United State's FDA so he did research in Italy instead. He used to tell me that in Italy one does not need a prescription from a doctor and that a person can ask a pharmacist for a drug and buy it. My father had more liberty to do his research in Italy without regulations. He could not do research in America. My father used Hydroxychloroquine as his main drug for infections. Other doctors have used this combo and have been successful. However, doctors may not be willing to come forward because they can get in trouble with the FDA. Dr. Zelenko has been using this drug combo with success and he was willing to talk about it.
This drug makes the body alkaline and it impedes the entry of the covid -19 virus into cells. Cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment. My father also discovered that this drug is a cure for some cancers.
My father could not go to the FDA with his information because they regulate how drugs can be used. My father was always complaining that the FDA impedes science with so many regulations. I asked President Trump to get rid of the red tape to speed up progress and save lives.
Please allow doctors to use this drug combination. It really is a "gamechanger." Maybe the President should have said where he got his information. Maybe people would have taken the information seriously if it had been delivered by someone in the medical field. Please allow the use of this drug combo as it can save lives.
