They are 0-1 to start the week but overall they are pretty good.
HAMILTON AT TORONTO (ON TSN- Tuesday, September 16 (ON TSN)
There?s interesting psychology in this game now that the Ti-Cats have finally won a game. The question is whether or not that hurts or helps their preparation and performance. I think that the win will help Hamilton. When you?re 0-12 your playing desperate football, but you tend to press too much because you?re trying not to go winless for the season. Hamilton will execute a little better because the anxiety will be lessened. The problem with the Argonauts is they don?t sustain drives, and are dependant on big plays. I think it will catch up to them.
Prediction: Hamilton 24, Toronto 22
OTTAWA AT EDMONTON - Friday, September 19 (ON TSN)
The Renegades continue to improve but they?re not at the talent level of Edmonton. With the win in B.C. the Eskimos should be very confident and with Ricky Ray?s 68% completion rate, Edmonton?s offence should be very efficient. If Josh Ranek can gain 100 yards on the ground for the ?Gades, there could be an upset, but I don?t think it will happen.
Prediction: Edmonton 40, Ottawa 24
B.C. AT WINNIPEGE - Saturday, September 20
Dave Dickenson puts a lot of pressure on himself for the win/loss record in the organization. I think this will be one of those games that he uses that internal pressure effectively. The Bombers are a good but confusing team. Their two best players with the ball are Charles Roberts and Mike Sellers. The two backs will need to be the offensive emphasis for the Bombers to be successful. B.C. have lost two in row, so I think it?s time for a big win.
Prediction: B.C. 31, Winnipeg 26
SASKATCHEWAN AT MONTREAL- Sunday, September 21 (ON TSN)
I can?t figure the Roughriders out. They destroy B.C. and then lose to Hamilton in overtime. Nealon Greene historically has good games in Montreal, and he must play mistake free. Also, the Roughriders will need to physically control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and play very smart in Blitz pick-up to have a chance. Montreal can be beat, but an opponent has to play it?s best game and the Alouettes have to self destruct at a crucial moment. I don?t see either happening Sunday afternoon at Molson Stadium.
Prediction: Montreal 30, Saskatchewan 19
