D2...my lsu sources tell me what i said is true...they also say that saban has a 10 yr 3.5 mil per yr, with a 10 mil buyout on the table to go back to lsu which he is very tempted to do(he hates tuscaloosa) If tubs is offered the lsu job he takes it. If not he takes the arky job...sunday is the day...the bridges are burned at AU, he's gone

Talk about some crazy shit. So its either Tubby or Saban to LSU?

Tuberville says he'll stay at Auburn

Coach dispels rumors saying he will bolt to Arkansas

Posted: Friday November 30, 2007 2:47PM; Updated: Friday November 30, 2007 2:52PM

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville told listeners to his weekly radio show that fans "don't need to panic or anything" amid reports that he could bolt to Arkansas to replace Houston Nutt.

"I'm not looking to go anywhere," Tuberville said on the show, which aired Thursday night but was recorded previously.

Arkansas has not contacted Auburn seeking permission to speak with Tuberville about the Razorback job, Auburn sports publicist Kirk Sampson said Friday.

Tuberville was in Arkansas on a previously planned hunting trip and was scheduled to return to Auburn on Friday. He is in talks with Auburn about a contract extension.

Athletic director Jay Jacobs said Auburn has agreed to lengthen the coach's contract, but declinced to discuss details.

On the radio show, Tuberville said some changes are needed at Auburn, which he said needs a plan to improve its facilities.

"I've been here nine years and think I'm pretty experienced in what I feel and our staff feels needs to happen for us to go to another level, get back to Atlanta (to the Southeastern Conference title game) and win in Atlanta," he said.

But, Tuberville added: "People don't need to panic or anything."

"This is for the betterment of Auburn. Obviously, I always look out for my family, which is our coaches and our families. I want to make sure everybody is happy and healthy, but also has a chance to have success. We've had great success in nine years. We want the success to improve in the next nine years. I think everybody wants that."

Nutt was named head coach at Ole Miss after quitting at Arkansas.

Welcome to this capping forum.

I wouldn't don't sweat it. Funny to me that you would sign up on a capping forum to throw inyour 2 cents about Slick Nick. One thing is known, he thinks Bama fans are wackos and he does not like it up there.

That said, LSU does not need a PR nightmare. I am having a hard time thinking the LSU BoT would give him the majority vote needed for any hire. Not because he left, because it was an opoortunity to go to the NFL and few can blame him there. They don't like him because of his arrogance and overall unpleasant treatment of others, even those in positions of power...

GL on your capping

Looking like your sources may be wrong....I for one hope they are because I want Tommy to stay.

By the way, I hate Arizona State.

I don't think anyone fanwise would consider him to have mud on his face, and most fans want him back. You must be talking about Board of Trustees, and insiders. I'm also not sure Tommy gives a crap what anyone at the University thinks. I still can't see why he would go rebuild another program when he has already gotten us ready to play for a National Championship in the coming years. If he does leave, then any coach coming in has to be licking his chops with the talent he is coming into.

Cie Grant---Interesting match-up in Atlanta. I think that Auburn has the much better defense and would also give us a slight edge on special teams. Both teams have strong running backs but I would have to say Clemson has the edge in the passing game. Line should be pick'em or Clemson -1 by the time they play the game but I like Auburn's chances. Looking forward to going as my Uncle has access to a private suite in the Georgia Dome. All you can eat, drink and they even let you smoke just outside the suite.:D Sweet way to bring in the new year!!!!! Anyway, my best guess is:

Auburn 31
Clemson 17
