I'm not sure what to think about this. He has a lot of talent to work with and some good ones coming in if he can keep them. Hopefully he doesn't do to the Tech offense what he did to Auburns.

It was pretty shameless the way he openly said he'd take any call for jobs when he was on ESPNU.

If he sticks to what he knows which is defense then ya'll should be happy with the choice. The question is going to be can an old school SEC guy like him accept winning games 42-38 or does he try and meddle and get back to the way the game is "supposed" to be played. Will be interesting for sure. I think its a good hire.

You should be glad. He may actually get a big 12 team to focus a little more on defense. He also had plenty of good offense. Tony Franklin was a mess but dont forget about the previous years. Tubby had some very strong seasons and hes one of the best big game specalists in recent memory. If tech gets a 10 year stretch like he had at Auburn you will have made a good hire. War Damn Eagle!

Its going to be tough for Tubberville coming into all that turmoil, but he was probably the best they could hope for considering the circumstances. Lubbock is a tough sell to recruits unless your Mike Leach, and even with Leach they could not win the Big 12 South outright, as a matter of fact its been almost 55 years since Tech won any conference outright.
