Right then - time for me to tell you who to avoid this week - or who is going to finish 2nd :D - I believe I have now had over 10 2nd place finishes since I last picked a winner

all events this week are a bit of a nightmare and with this one will throw in a few longshots - both 80/1 at Multisports - Geoff Ogilvy (2nd here last year) and Chris Smith (on a good run at present) - back with umpteen more later

Had to dig deep for this one.... but then have I come up with a nugget?? Got to try recent South African order of merit winner Tim Clark. But how good is that form on this tour? His recent figures certainly look impressive 2-4-8-5-52-1 (win in SA Open).
His season was curtailed by injury last year after gaining his tour card with a 3rd place on the 2000 Buy.com after 2 wins.
Interestingly he played just 2 events on the tour last year, both in Arizona including a 26th here. Obviously the bookies are undecided about the merits of his form as well 22/1 Hills, 25/1 Bet365 but 50/1 Sporting Odds (nice and handy that being with the SOdds for a whopping 1325/1 double with the Singapore winner :D )

125/1!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my god.... my 50/1 looks a bit paltry! I knew when I took it that some bookie could quote higher as to the potential differences of opinion about the merits of his form... but funnily enough Sporting Odds then cropped him to 33/1... so someone else must have lumped on... unless I have a black mark for whacking them with Ollie!

Just checked with Centerbet and the cleaner must have got the rest of the 125/1... now 25/1.... sure you are on T and not M Clark (100/1)?

3 more selections from me - mainly as I am not really bothering with other 2 events
Magee - 66/1 Bet365 - good desert player, good record here, 3rd the other week and as low as 20/1 jt fav with Ladbrokes
+ M Clark 125/1 Lads and Tataurangi 100/1 Sportingbet - both showing up well in All round stats

Ian,
Must admit I also considered Magee he made my last 4 and I could have got the 80/1 at W Hill last night (now 50/1).... his AT & T 3rd, win here in 94 plus a 10th and 6th in subsequent years doesn't look bad.... but I've left him all for you.
The other two discards on my short list were Loren Roberts & Brent Geiberger

I'm going to go with one of your discards BM.

Geiberger 66/1 ( Hills ). Has one good finish here in 99 and although not been at best yet this season he did post an 8th in Phoenix which level of form would put him in with a shout here.

M Goggin 80/1( Hills). Speculative, but 80's appears over priced on two good starts this year.

J Kaye 80/1 ( Ladbrokes ). Not the most outstanding of course records but not bad; and probably as good as any other competitor can put up.

Rio.

All the events this week have a scary look so going for a small staking splatter attack of interest bets.... at Tucson omitted Magee as the price was cut, but stuck with Loren Roberts 50/1 & Brent Geiberger 66/1 both W Hill.

Seems dodgy taking a player with 2 missed cuts but Geiberger has some decent finishes in Arizona a 5th here in 99' and Phoenix 2nd in 98' and 8th this year.

Loren Roberts had a 'mare last year but finished off with a 17th and 6th and has 2 top 23's from 4 outings this year. The price is just a bit too tempting for a player who as well as winning in 2000 had 3 top 10's in Majors... if anybody is near enough... just remind him of the good days!

Anyone hear from Stan?Haven't seen a post and his stats haven't been updated yet this week.I am at a standstill without the stats but his well being is more of a concern.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Here's link to local paper and weather. Not much info on golf tourney but better than last week when Pacific Paisades nor Santa Monica papers had squat $shit on coverage.
