Dickey is solid, but this team is fired up and ready to play ball. Sure feels a lot like back in the mid-90's in terms of how lose and how much fun this team is having. Tito has everything to do with that. Two games ago Masterson gave up 5 in the 1st and was nearly untouchable thereafter. Typically settles in once he gets past the early innings. I will take this new look Tribe team at an attractive price.
Also took them earlier OVER 76' wins and +800 to win the AL Central..
Opening Day projected starting lineup:
1. CF: Michael Bourn
2. SS: Asdrubal Cabrera
3. 2B: Jason Kipnis
4. 1B: Nick Swisher
5. LF: Michael Brantley
6. C: Carlos Santana
7. DH: Mark Reynolds
8. 3B: Lonnie Chisenhall
9. RF: Drew Stubbs
SP: Justin Masterson

INDIANS +165 4 units to make 660 is the play for me.:0074

PLAY BALL:00hour

You may have a good shot here. I think that the Jays are a better team than the Indians (and the Red Sox too, for that matter). But - the speed bump for them early may be that they try too hard and push too much. They seem loose enough, but these are early days with high expectations.

Also, don't underestimate Terry Francona as a manager! He has an ability to get the best out of players.

That said, I'll probably be on the other side giving the -1 but still considering the good plus money for the Indians.

It's only one game, so here's to a great baseball season for all of us! :toast:

Try too hard and push too hard was a problem of their's last year, that was kind of my point with Tito allowing these guys to have some fun and the fact they are a little looser. Watched them for a week in AZ and they were having a blast. Love Francona!!!

Pitching is the big question with this team. This is the area they are probably thin, they most certainly have the sticks.

We'll see. All the best this season!! :toast:

Actually, I was referring to the Blue Jays trying too hard and pushing too much. That was one reason I am considering the Indians tonite. But hey, you are right, that might be true of both teams!

One thing to remember is that teams facing power pitchers after facing a knuckle ball guy can struggle in the next one or two games. The Mets pitchers who followed Dickey had a really good era, like just over 2. So Brandon Morrow may benefit. Just a heads up, there may be some money in it this year. :0008

Hey, baseball is back!!! :00hour
