College Basketball 17-20

Game 1---Arizona--Illinois----College Basketball is great--noone avoids anyone and both these teams are out to prove something. Illinois(in their last big game)--lost to Maryland--I watched this game and it seemed as if the Refs were swayed by the home crowd, calling some cheap fouls on Illinois. Arizona comes into this game playing pretty well(inspite of the loss against Kansas)--Frontcourt---Illinois has a clear advantage here, bringing 3 guys that can rebound and score--Backcourt--Although Gardner has been playing in top form, along with High School Prep (Bynum)---i believe Illinois has a clear advantage at the point-guard spot and they have guys that can shoot the 3 consisently! Yes Gardner has been playing well but i believe the more Athletic Williams will give him fits both offensively and defensively!! Homecourt--this will be Arizona's only edge---but it will not matter. Illinois is a great team--and they have all the components to winning on the road, add the fact that they lost their last big National Televised game!! They will be ready. This is my pick of the day----Final play--Give me Illinois

Game 2--Notre Dame--Indiana----Indiana lost their last game out--and ND looked great against a bad Depaul team---Notre Dame is the kind of team that can get it done on the road, they take care of the ball, shoot free-throws well, and can knock it down from 3.. But i think Indiana has a solid-team--they have a good mix of players. They also take care of the ball, shoot the 3, and biggest of all they defend well> They pressure the ball out front and they got the players inside to block and change the oppostions shot! Looking at the match-ups Indiana has a clear edge in being home---and I think Indiana has the players to frustrate Humphries(from ND)---Front-Court--I give Indiana a slight edge--Back Court---Not the kind of guys that will take over a game-but solid players that take care of the ball and find ways to score---What i mean is that they can drive--knock down the open shot, and they can go in and get a offensive rebound and give their team 2 and 3 oppurtunities.--Final play--Give me Indiana-- PRediction--Indiana 71--ND--65

Game 3---LA. Tech--Auburn--This is a game in which i will wait to see the line just before game time---If it moves in my favor--this could be a big play!!

Funny. . . Arizona isn't playing at home. . . they are playing in Phoenix, not Tucson. Basically you are saying that Arizona has no advantage in this game yet they are a one point favorite right now!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I believe Arizona has the better guards in this matchup and overall team speed. The question as you already indicated will be the frontcourt matchups which clearly favors Illinois (at least on paper).

Game is too close to call and certainly not worthy of being called a "pick of the day". Arizona looked terrible against Kansas (who played an incredible game) yet were still in the game in the final minutes. . .

Flip a coin and take your chances!

Good luck

The Reason the line is only 1 --is because how good Arizona has played, and Gardner has stepped up--but if you have watched both Arizona--Illinois guards--they have a clear edge-and we will see it tonight!! Williams is athletic and will Give the smaller Gardner fits(trust me)---His shooting percentage will be down tonight, if he can not shoot at least 40% from the field, they do not have a chance to win! I do not believe he can!!--I have watched these 2 teams play and Illinois is a better team!!--But the best team does not always win.. Even the Lakers lose once in a while. Let's assume both teams play to their MAximum potential--Illinois will win, bigger, stronger, and simply more athletic!!

Also, funny how you left out faster! Illinois may be bigger and stronger, but team speed has gotten Arizona to where they are this year. . . Kansas was noticeably tired the last five minutes of the game against the Cats. . . we'll see how Illinois holds up tonight!

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one because I feel the game isn't worth a bet either way and you feel that Illinois is basically a lock since they have every advantage over Arizona. Perhaps the flip of the coin will go your way this time!

Innavation is right...Frank Williams will dominate Gardner tonight...I have seen Arizona play four times this year and they have been surprisingly better than I anticipated...but, the key here is that Gardner is going against somene he does not match up well with....unlike how he dominate Brett Nelson (Florida)..he will not be effective against Williams...I firmly believe AZ goes as Gardner goes...

You sound as if you are Cat Fan...so, I will not get into an argument...I just really like Illinois in this match up...and I think it merits a play of the day.

Innavation, you pick Ind to win by 6 & the spread is 4.5. Why would you play that game if you think it will be that close?

double down,

Actually, you should consider me more of a West coast fan because I always believe the west coast lacks respect from the ENTIRE country and this is one of those instances (ie you and everyone else from the east believing that Williams is far superior to Gardner).

Vegas sportsbooks NEVER (well, at least 99% of the time) hand out gifts on high profile games and this matchup is certainly a high profile game. If I was a biased Arizona fan, I'd be all over the Cats tonight, but I will be laying off because this game is a coin flip as advertised by Vegas.

Nickel..

I think Gardner is great...but he is 5'9"...going agains a guy 6 inches taller and almost as quick.....(notice the word "almost")...But, he is stronger...and overall better...IMHO

Good Luck

Yes--i think that Indiana will stretch a lead and hold it late in the game(ND-has not played and won a big game on the road against a worthy opponent yet)--

Adding---Midddle Tenn St.+2.5---huge!!!!
