Anyone see any value on Castilliejo- I made a small play on him at dimes at +175, he sits at +160 right now, I don't believe any other (USA accesible) sites have a line besides a pending one at The Greek.

The fact that it's a ten rounder is better for the older (39) Castillejo who was about even with younger stronger Carrera who forced a ref stoppage in the 11th round of their first bout before it was ruled NC after clenbuterol showed in his post fight drug tests.
Carrera quickly avenged his only loss in the last 4 years and looks like he has some nice career momentum. Perhaps making 160 is a challenge for the 27 year old since he started at that weight in 2001 and used the illegal fat burner . Small play.

Last time I put money of Carrera who was at odds of 8.0 or so. This time, I will put a very small bet on Castelljo at 2.5. I think he got a wake up call last time. Castelljo showed plenty of fight against Sturm and good conditioning. I think he got caught goofing off on a fight he thought he'd win. Lets see Carrera win it without drugs.

However, I think the line is about right, and I see no real value, so I'll just bet small.

I had a little bet on Carrera to win by dec @15. :(

I made a little bet on a draw @23.

I played Carrera +500 in the first fight as well, but at 2-1 odds the value has shifted back to Castillejo. For those leaning Carrera, I wouldn't lay the wood, put him in a parlay getting evens or better

Just noticed that boxrec has this at 12 rounds

My original post was all based on this being a 10 round fight. The last 2 rounds, just like the first fight should be the most difficult for a 39 year old- damn. All bets are off for now.

Small on Castelljo.

All my small bets should not be taken as any sort of recommendation to back. I see a little value there, but nothing to write home about. Sometimes it's worth just throwing a few dimes on a fight just so that you remember the fighter's better.

cheers

You could be in trouble.

First two rounds to Castillejo and Carrera looked hurt in the second, was clinching. Castellejo landing nice to the body, then went upstairs. Boxing lesson.

Nice Conan- keep it coming. I hedged a parlay with Carrera/Soto but if the Spaniard wins it's a (smaller) profit for today!!

in round 3 castilljeo out on his feet. carrera lands a big right left counter off the ropes but castilljeo survies the minute to the end.

Its offical : Castilljeo wins wtko round 6.

YESSSSS!!!!! I'll take a small win on a Tuesday after a megaweekend.

What is up with this revived Castillejo dude? 39 years old. I forgot I just ordered steamtiv this past weekend- it wasn't fricken working for Hayve-Mormeck and when I just turned it on- yea Tony- it was frozen during the KO. Looks like Ishe Smith in there now:142smilie

There should be a bettable fight in London tomorrow night, but that looks like another tough one.

hi, yes carrera fought back nicely in round three, but castelljo put him down on the bell in round 4. After that castelljo looked stronger and put him down in a great round 6 with two uppercuts. Carrera just sat there and didnt want any more, but he wouldve lost anyhow. Castelljo looked real sharp for 39, but his chin is a worry.

His chin can't be that bad if he's been stopped once back in 95 on a TKO before a drugged up Carrero stopped him on his feet controversially. Looks like Carrera;'s and Sturm's chin are more to worry about with the way the Spaniard is punching.

Haha- I guess we're just going to be potshotting each other from time to time and that's fine by me. I noted I made a small play on the dog in my first post but was much less enthused about it after finding out it wasn't a 10 rounder. Now you really can't hop online and take your bet off , can you BL. I ended up going 60/107 for Castillejo , but then gave back with a 40/106 hedge on Carrera/Soto for 67 Net. Small profit, but for a Tuesday in Europe, I'm happy. Did any of the group that were big on dog Lorenzo have a chance to thank you for pushing Rosales so hard and pointing out that's where all the smart money was going. But then again you did offer the Froch over..... and Mosley..... Thou Great Boxlocks.
