MLB Record Year (0-2, -2units)
MLB Record Week (0-2, -2units)
Atl -110 2units (Glavine vs. Astacio)
Fla -110 3units (Penny vs. Duckworth)
Stl +230 1unit (B.Smith vs. R.Johnson)
SF -120 2units (Rueter vs. Tomko)
Min -155 1unit (reed vs. reichert)
Hopefully we will get into the winning column this evening. I originally loved Minnesota on a 3 game winning streak, 3-0 at home playing a KC team that they have already beaten twice at KC this year, BUT Reichert pitched an unbelievable game giving up only 1 run while striking out 8, 6H, 2BB, in 7innings only to loose to Milton's 2 Hitter. Minnesota's bullpen is on fire of late though (3-0, 2.03ERA, 5saves). Still scared into a 1 unit play here though because of the inconsistancy of hte starters.
Duckworth too has already had an awesome outing this year against tonights opponent (the Fish), but their Bullpen is spent with a 4.89 ERA....Penny pitches well at home....they are .500 on a 2 game win streak while leading the majors in runners stranded...they snap out of that tonight and hit Duckworth well seeing him for the second time.
Glavines career record against NYM compared to Astacio's career record vs Atlanta and only having to lay -110 on glavine vs a very inconsistant and sometime wild Astacio (I'll risk it everytime!)
Glavine 16-6, 219inn, 210H, 68ER, 68BB, 137K, 2.79
Astacio 3-13, 100inn, 96H, 50ER, 36BB, 54K, 4.50
STL +230, hoping this very good hitting Stl team can give Johnson his first bad outing. He is only 4-7 with 3.60 ERA against Stl in his career. Hoping for that perfect performance Bud gave us last year or atleast a poor offensive performance from the backs to squeek out this good pay out.
Rueter is 8-2 with a 3.60 career record vs. SD. San Fran swept three games from them earlier this year pretty handily. They are coming off a loss last night from the pads. Would be a huge play if only Aurilla and Bonds were healthy and the Bullpen wasn't so strapped.
I think the NYY will roll being home after losing 4 of last 5 and Clemens at HOME trying to get revenge on his opening day shalacking the o's gave him. O's are still HORRIBLE though and the yanks should roll, but to big of a price for a team that has 4 of last 5.
