Yankees -130 (double play)

Yankees -130 (double play)

I know, yanks pitching blows. but damn, scoring 8 friggin runs a game has to pay off at some point.

I used to think Kazmir (1-1, 5.25 ERA) was good, but I don't anymore. Yanks will hopefully get some relief tonight when Wang makes his 1st start of the year. Yanks are so due for a win its ridiculous, and at this price with their best pitcher and the way they've been scoring runs this is a great spot to take the yanks.

Oh, and you might have heard about what this monster has been doing:

Rodriguez, who is hitting .400 (30-for-75) with 14 homers and 34 RBIs, become the first player in major league history to hit 14 homers in the first 18 games of the season and tied Albert Pujols ' 2006 mark for most home runs in April.

Twins -225

Twins -225

The juice is a little scary:scared , but consider the following:

In 78 career starts at the Metrodome, Santana is 40-13 with a 2.95 ERA, but he hasn't lost consecutive outings since May 1 and May 17, 2005, when he fell to the Los Angeles Angels and Toronto Blue Jays , respectively.

Santana (3-1, 3.00 ERA) lost at home for the first time since Aug. 1, 2005, after the Twins lost 4-2 to Tampa Bay on April 13. That ended a streak of 17 straight winning decisions for the left-hander, and Minnesota had been 24-0 when Santana took the mound.

Santana, 6-2 with a 2.89 ERA in 14 career starts versus the Indians, will try to help his team rebound once again.Cleveland (8-8) scored four runs in the top of the 12th inning en route to a 7-3 win on Monday.

vs.

With 14-game winner Cliff Lee soon to return from a strained abdominal muscle, Fausto Carmona (0-1, 6.97) could be making his final start for Cleveland.

gotta like your chances, no?

Braves -108

Braves -108

Redman (0-3, 8.62 ERA) obviously hasn't pitched well this year, but was solid his last time out (allowing three runs in 7 1-3 innings of a 3-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs).

I just really like the braves bats against a single "A" pitcher (wasn't there another pitcher avail to bring up, makes no sense:shrug: )

Rookie Rick Vanden Hurk (0-1, 9.00) looks to bounce back for Florida after giving up eight runs in four innings of Thursday's 11-3 loss to the Mets. The right-hander from Holland, who had never pitched above Single-A before he was called up a week earlier to replace injured starter Ricky Nolasco , allowed six runs in the third inning of his second start.

BakerBoyz-

just playing the odds in minny. minny was 24-0 when santana started in his last 24 games at home before that lost. clearly he has been dominant at home, and coming off a loss makes me love it even more.

Adding Mets -200

Adding Mets -200

Hard to believe El Duque is still pitching great. While no one knows for sure I think he is approximately 59 years old. I thought he was done years ago. He still looks good though.

Heavy juice, but I'll take my chances agianst a guy who hasn't won since Aug. 27

Orlando Hernandez (2-1, 3.24 ERA) will look to lead the Mets to the series victory on Tuesday. He allowed two runs in seven innings of Thursday's 11-3 win at Florida, striking out 10 batters for the first time since July 22, 2004, while still with the New York Yankees.

vs

Colorado will counter with Aaron Cook (0-1, 4.00), who is 0-4 in nine starts since his last victory on Aug. 27. He gave up five runs in six innings of Thursday's 8-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Adding Twins -1.5 (-110)

Adding Twins -1.5 (-110)

Similar to my play with the mets last night, I am basically playing a round about "double play"

Just think this is almost as good a spot as you get on a team.

Minny at home coming off 2 losses. Santana on the mound of an unheard of home loss for him.

facing Scrappy McScraperson for the indians who's getting booted down to the minors after the game.

just take this play, you'll feel better in the morning.

Angels (even steven)

Angels (even steven)

Angels bats seem to have awoken, and they should get a solid outing from Escobar, who has had success against the tigers in the past (1-1, 3.18 ERA), who is 8-0 with a 2.10 ERA in 19 career games - eight starts - against the Tigers.

Tough one to call, but hey I need my afternoon fix.

The over is so tempting at 7.5. This is the AL after all.

May play it.

Adding Cubs -155

Adding Cubs -155

This is definitely too much to be laying for a team of this caliber but my gut just tells me they win today.

If they can't win today then I don't know what to make of this team. They should be better than they are playing, I know that.

Hill (3-0, 0.41 ERA) has been the team's best pitcher so far. The left-hander extended his scoreless streak to 16 innings on Thursday, scattering four hits and three walks in eight innings of Chicago's 3-0 victory at Atlanta.

Jeff Suppan (2-2, 3.91) has won 2 in a row after dropping 1st 2.

He is 2-2 with a 4.25 ERA in six lifetime starts at Wrigley Field, and 4-4 with a 3.22 ERA in 13 appearances overall versus Chicago.
