Season to Date 15-11-2 +6.04 units
Yesterday 0-4 -6.6 untits :moon: are you kidding me

Quick rant about yesterday. Whenever I have a truly terrible rotten day it helps me to go back and look at if I personally had anything to do with the disaster. I did look and would still make all the plays again, albeit they all blew. A blind donkey could have done better. KG gets ejected, Duncan goes down, I can't get 120 points in 3 quarters from Atl and NO, and the Bulls, well not much I can say about them. Outscored by 87 points in their 3 losses. Are you kidding me....87 points in 3 losses.

NBA SCORING......is it down YES. Does this always happen early in the season YES. Why do I still bet an over...I HAVE NO IDEA. Every game goes under yesterday except Miami for some reason. Growing up as a kid I used to listen to the Lakers pregame shows with Chic Hearn. He would have callers guess the total points and the winner would get a free dinner or something.....that's not the point. The point is that the average scores of these games was in the 220s and 230s and such. So basically the league scoring in the last 20 years has just gone downhill. Is it better defense???? NO, although that may have a little to do with it. Is it the zone???? No, although that may have something to do with it.....Then what is it???? LACK OF TALENT. True NBA players are probably the greatest atheletes in the world, but they are just NOT SKILLED PLAYERS ANYMORE AT THE FUNDAMENTALS. Sure they can all dunk, and look good, but as for playing solid fundamental basketball which leads to points, few of them can. Will scoring rise???? Probably and overs will probably come close to unders at seasons end because bookmakers will adjust the totals.....

Short card today....

Indiana -4 1st half 2 units. Somehow Indiana is 2-1 on the season, but they have yet to look "good." Denver has beaten defending champion San Antonio AND Sacremento getting off to a 2-1 start to they year:eek:. Playoffs?????? Not a chance. No way, I'm not buying into the hype. Carmelo is an improvement to an improving team, but get real. Indiana hasn't looked good, but they get a perenial loser team in Denver coming into an Eastern teams home court which is a good one. Indiana will bench tinsley again in favor of anthony johnson who helped them defeat atl in ot. That should jumpstart the spark Indiana needs. I think Indiana will come out an maul this Denver team early. I expect no less than a double digit lead at the half, and hopefully thats just not wishful thinking.

Lakers Mil OVER 188.5 3units(max play). I know I just got done ranting about overs, but this line is low based on perception that games are low scoring this year. Its even getting bet down as I type. This lakers team is a machine. They are the best team in basketball PERIOD based just on talent. Every one of their starters can put up points and Fisher has been on fire all year. The last 10 times these teams have played not once did the Lakers score under 98 points. Milwaukee is averaging over 93 points a game this year. I agree with EM that this line is easily 10 points off. I think its because of all the unders yesterday and so far this season. I could easily see 200 points in this game the way both teams are gonna run the ball. Lakers should be able to put up 100 easily, and Cassell is the human grab the ball and shoot it player.

Good Luck to All

EZ, I agree whole heartedly about your assessment on the NBA talent. I call it "N"ot "B"asketball "A"nymore. I also grew up listening to Chick when I was a little kid, even though I was a Celt and Larry fan. Basketball will never be like that gain, we must face it. Yeah, there are some great players out there, the Duncans, the Iversons, and the Garnets. But way to much emphasis is put on the dunk. The one thing I think has really ruined the game is the three point line. Yeah, it's been around for a while, but back then, guys could actually shoot. And shoot with consistency. If guys would put the practice in on them as much as they do the dunk, we may have another story, and a lot more overs!! I just miss the pure shooters, I guess.

Anyway, enough ranting from a disgruntled NBA fan. I can't even find a team to cheer for anymore. The Celts are pathetic, and they keep making moves that baffle me. I liked the Jazz with Stockton, Malone, and Horny, but those days are gone, and the mailman has gone to the dark side!!

I'm with you on the over in the laker game. I guess we just like the punishment of losing overs.

Will someone please make a jumper beyond 2 feet???

Yea, sorry about the mix-up. I mean Michael Redd. He's hitting over 50% for the year, but loves to take his shots.

Sorry and good luck to you.

I like LA and the over as Mil has match up problems with Shaq and Malone. Malone has had some great games against the Bucks in the past. I also think Payton has decided mismatch at the point.

Hey EZ,

Nice write-up. I remember those day when Chic had those guess the score contests.

Why do we take the over early in the season? Maybe because these guys are pros and should start off the season better than they do. That's what the preseason and practice are for.

With that said, I like the Lakers/Bucs Over 188.5.

Good Luck!
