E. Michigan +4 -110, 3 units
The Eagles improved a lot in the 2nd half of last season and compiled a solid 7-1-2 record ATS at home. Kent looks to be down from past years as they struggled to beat IPFW and SWMS. EMU gave Kent a good game last year losing by 3 on the road. They have a lot more back than Kent and I look for them to pull the upset at home.

NC St. +5.5 -110, 2 units
NC St. has 3 real good players back in Hodge, Merrill, and Melvin. Think the Pack is the much better defensive team here and I think their pressure may give Michigan some problems as they committed 21 turnovers in their last game against Butler in a slow tempo game and 22 turnovers in their prior game against High Point. NC St. shoots FTs much better at 77% compared to UM's 65% and has several good 3 pt. shooters so I like their chances at staying under the number here.

Wake Forest -13 -110, 2 units
IU is very weak on the interior right now with Newton graduating and Leach out for a few weeks. Kline is the most experienced frontcourt player they have and they have no shotblocking without Leach. IU was not very deep to begin with and besides Wright none of their guards have shot the ball well as all of them are under 37.5% so far this year. I think WF has way too much depth and they should control the paint so I look for them to get an easy win at home.

NC/Illinois under 150.5 -110, 2 units
NC has some injury problems so I look for them to pick it up on the defensive end and slow it down a bit since Illinois has a lot more depth. Both teams have put up some impressive offensive numbers but neither has played a good defensive team yet. I think this total is a little high so will take the under.

Tenn. Tech -10.5 -110, 1 unit
Tech played Kentucky pretty well for the most part staying within 9 points with 9 mins left in the 2nd half until the Wildcats pulled away in the last few minutes. Idaho St. has played a pretty soft schedule and got blown out by Rice by 30. ISU has been getting killed on the glass getting outrebounded by 14 against Texas-SA, 15 against Binghamton, and 21 against Rice. Golden Eagles will put up a lot of points at home and unless ISU improves their rebounding greatly I think they will get blown out here.

UNC -1.5 -110, 2 units
I still think the Heels have plenty of talent even with the injuries as Felton, McCants, and May are capable of picking up the slack. UNC was still able to win last year when May went down so I think this is a pretty good line to get them at home.

Pirates were pretty good last year upsetting Marquette and playing close games with some good basketball teams. They've got a lot of experience and pretty much all of their key players back from last year's team with Mikulas, Wiley, and Bing back. Although I look G. Mason's team I think ECU has a pretty decent shot at winning this game and think it will be close.
