Granted, Illinois has played far weaker comp, but the Illini are better in virtually every stat category so far. I think they'll have a big edge on the baords. Also depth is an issue, as UNC has 7 players playing double digit minutes, comapred to 11 for Ill.

UNC looks great so far but their lack of depth and size is going to catch up to them. I'll take Illinois on the small spread on their home court, with them looking to prove a point.

Forgot to mention, Illinois at home last three years is 31 and 1 straight up.

UMD +2.5, 2*

Will wait for tomorrow to take this one cuz I think the public will be on IU. Everyone will be looking at IU getting revenge ... not so fast. MD still wants to prove it won;t drop off the map w/o Dixon, etc, still has 4 seniors in its starting lineup -- including Blake, who is a better all around guard than Coverdale or Hornsby.

Also, MD's interior players are stronger and better all around than IU's. If Leach can;t go (collarbone) they are going to be seriously out-sized in the post. On the perimeter, IU loves the 3 pointers but MD is well coached and good at defending the 3.

IU's freshman have shown they are the real deal, while MD hasmore newcomers still being incorporated. If the Terps get solid production from the young guys off the bench, I think they win SU.

Maybe a small play, but thats pretty steep. At 2 or 2.5 you basically are almost getting a pick em, but at 5 its more risk invlovled.

They had the win sealed and then Nicholas lets the ****ing ball go off his hands on a simple inbounds pass. Same guy who blew that 10-point lead against Duke a few years back.

Also, nice home cooking considering IU shot 25 MORE FREE THROWS!

Oh well, big-ass swing but thats how the game goes I guess.
