New York Knicks @ Sacramento Kings

We'll lay the points tonight as the Sacramento Kings welcome the New York Knicks to Arco Arena.

The Kings 40-14 record is the best in the NBA and puts them five games clear of the Lakers in the Pacific division. Key to their success is a dominant home record of 24-4 (.857) SU and 17-11 ATS. Match that up with New York's 10-16 (.385) SU and 12-14 road record and we feel justified laying eight points tonight.

Sacramento have won six of seven recently despite playing without injured center Brad Miller, suspended forward Chris Webber and injured guard Bobby Jackson. The Kings average winning margin during this stretch is 11.8 ppg which is an impressive number especially when you consider that four of the six wins were on the road. They are the NBA's highest scoring team this season at 104.5 ppg.

The Knicks are 26-31 SU overall and are fielding a line-up that is barely recognizable from the team that started this season. New GM Isiah Thomas has hired a new coach and cut or traded 10 plays from the Knicks roster so it's no great surprise that they're struggling with team chemistry. They have just one win and cover in their last five games and were terrible at home on Sunday in a loss to the Cavaliers when only a too-little, too-late rally saved them from further embarrassment. The Knicks four recent losses have been by an average of 10.8 ppg and another double-digit loss seems likely tonight.

These teams met earlier this season at Madison Square Garden and the Knicks posted a surprising 114-111 win as five point underdogs. But it's rare for teams to get the better of Sacramento in consecutive contests as they are 41-27 ATS the last three seasons, including 9-4 this season, when playing with revenge. And with a non-conference mark of 9-4 ATS we believe there is little chance of them taking New York lightly tonight.
