TCU -1.5 over Texas **
Saw the last game these guys played where TCU blew Texas away 69-55. Bane hit 6 3-pointers and everyone was a swish..he did it in Austin..not sure if he can duplicate that in MSG tonite. TCU has won the last 3 games vs Texas and should of been 4 when Fisher last yr missed an uncontested layup at the buzzer...Texas lost 5 of 6 and now won 3 in a row..w/o Hayes even though Simms plays good I give the advantage to the Frogs..Bane and Robinson are solid gds.. Texas gds in all those losses didn't play well..Noi and Samuel inside are tough...I know its hard beating someone 3 times in a row and TCU is more disappointed at not going to the Senior prom but think they are the overall better team..there has been a lot of side feelings about Jamie Dixon practicing at West Point the other day...a lot of emotion going on...not sure if that has anything to do with the actual game itself but it could
A little backround Maggie Dixon was Army's coach and they made for the 1st time the NCAA's.. a few weeks before the tournament she suddenly had a heart attack and passed away..Maggie was very popular at the Point inviting all HS coaches to watch all her practices...making the NCAA's and turning the Army program around...the day after she died the Cadet corp at midnite all walked out to the MacArthur Statue and saluted her in silence...this ritual is only for corp cadets that die while attending the Point ..she is also buried on campus.. Maggie and her brother Jamie were very close.. thought it was nice that TCU practiced at Chrystal Arena the other day preparing for tonites game and many of the corp attended ...
Again all this is in the backround but think the crowd will be behind TCU a little more
