Top play today: Pitt -4.5 10 units

This is Pitt's first big test of the season after beating up on a lot of creampuffs early. Believe they will hold serve at home. Memphis is talented but had difficulty on the road with a far inferior Purdue team. Pitt will get it done tonight.

Good plays:
Toledo -6 for 5 units
Really liked this a lot better when it was -3.5 but will still play it here before it goes up any more. The line alone tells you it's a play. Why is an 0-3 team a 6 point fave over a 4-1 team? Nevada coming off a big win at UNLV and Toledo needs to get back on track quickly. Think they do so pretty easily tonight.

Arkansas -3.5 for 5 units
This is equal parts Arkansas impressing me on a neutral court against Illinois on Saturday and Missouri just not being a good team this year. Missouri has already lost to Creighton and Davidson on their home court thus far and struggled with Oakland (Michigan) last time out. If Arkansas brings the game they brought against Illinois and just shoots from the line a little better, this one won't even be close.

GL everyone.

Whoops! Just realized that Pitt/Memphis game is at MSG in NYC. The Big East conference tourney is held there every year, so Pitt is still familiar with it so should still be something of an advantage although Memphis has already played on it twice this year. At least it explains why the line was as low as it is, so that at least stops me from worrying that it is a trap. Really should only be a 4-5 unit play with this info but since the bet's already in . . .will hope that XMas comes early this year for me!
