Tulsa finally put 2 halves together versus Rice on the road. Murmurings have them trying to set an up and down tempo to try to expose the lack of UTEP depth. UTEP is going to try to slow it down as much as they can, but two problems will surface. Ballhandling and post defense. Without Tofi, the Miners will have a hard time keeping a lid on Kevin Johnson, as his teammates are finally getting him the ball. Look for a 25/10 night tonight from him. On the ballhandling side, Tulsa's successful 1-2 punch Swanson and Reed are finally playing better. Reed is close to 100% from his leg injury and is finally finding his shot. Tulsa played as intense of on ball defense that they have all year against Rice. This will continue. Look for a 20+ point win on the road against a very short handed UTEP squad.
