2-1 yesterday on posted play...but since the kansas total fell to 144..and got it then, i ended up with a push on the game...
even still, i posted 145, so i'll take the loss towards the record.
18-10 now on posted plays in the tourney..64percent, i be happy
today:
1. stanford -3 vs maryland.
stanford has yet to impress me this tourney, but then again, either has maryland. md is undisciplined and has a stupid pg in that "jason williams wanna-be". gwill is a decent coach (much maligned though), but again, he has yet to take his team to where they should have gotten to in the past. stanford shoots the 3s like no one, hitting 43 percent from downtown.
the guard matchup is a huge huge advantage imo, as beachbum jacobsen should school the soph blake, who turns the ball over and makes stupid plays time and time again.
jacobsen struggles vs waterbug pgs as he did in the last two games vs stjosephs and cincy, but this game is perfect for him, as blake is far too young and too mistake prone to give him much fits.
inside, the key here will be to contain baxter, and with the collins twins, i think this should not be a problem...the collins twins have proven themselves tough vs all competition.
a "ff"riend emailed me today and mentioned that stanford has beaten 16 teams by dd this year...and their two losses were vs ucla and arizona at a time where stanford was struggling...
stanford at -3 is the play today...they are the number one team in the nation...they are 31-2...they have a senior ballclub. they shoot the three ball in the top 5 of the country...they are number one from the charity stripe..
they are just damn good.
if duck was playing maryland...there is no way this line would be less than 8.
i'll take the best team in the nation minus the casey jacobsen 3 pter.
goodluck to everyone...and wonder if people actually read these "turn key posts"...luck everybody...enjoy the games
