every time i hear that i have to laugh...cosell laughing in the background..gifford sitting there smiling.... :grins:
dandy,howard and frank gifford were a large part of what made monday night football a national institution.....
the young dudes on the board that never had the opportunity to hear the 3 of them call a game really missed out on something special......
meredith was hilarious...gifford was the straight analyst/commentator(with sharp wit)......and cosell was cosell....
it was like a party every week,imo....
very sad...meredith was one of the good guys...

I'm sure they'll have some kind of tribute to him tonight. He was a pleasure to listen to made me smile and laugh.

Couldn't have read my mind more... that was when MNF was the "EVENT" of the week. Sure more popular now than ever, but that was the BEST MNF team!!!! I grew up listedening to them, and it was fun!!!
