TV Question

With Christmas coming its time to get that HDTV.

Whats the better way to go, looking at something between 48in - 60in.

Lcd, Dlp, or Plasma.

Any suggestions greatly aprreciated as well as brand choice.

Just bought a 42" Vizio LCD at Costco for $1499. Personally I think the LCD picture quality blows away the plasma. Use HDMI cables and it's even better. make sure you had 2 HDMI plug outlets on the TV......because the newer DVD players use HDMI.

I may have not mentioned this :142smilie (Ha ha) but Costco doesn't have a time limit on returns. SO, why buy an extended warranty at Besy Buy or Circuit City when you can just take it back to Costco.

Just got a 50" DLP HDTV 1080p for $1500 - was an Open Box - so they took a ton off- regular price was almost $3000..

It depends if you want to play games on the TV or not.. if so 1080p right now is the best resolution. Also DLP technology - their is no burn in's w/ the pixels on the TV.

Make sure you do some research before buying one.. they can be expensive- however their are great deals out their.

Best TV on the Market for the $$$

in my opinion is the Sony SXRD series... I believe the model is the A2000... comes in 50, 55 and 60 inch models...

This TV basically won every theator magazine award for best TV last year.

I have the 60 inch (last years model) at our FL home and a 61 inch Sammy at our WI home.

No comparison - Sony wins easily. The Sammy will be upgraded soon, trust me.

But Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - so go to some stores, do some research and find out what YOU like best.
