I know there was a thread in here long ago about viewing options and what was the best bang for your buck with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Firestick, Roku......long story short DirecTv has run its course in our house and we won't go back to Dish either. How do the Firesticks etc work. I've heard people say its everything you get with DirecTV except the price. We don't watch much news. I like a lot of the sitcoms and the kids DVR some shows. He dvrs a lot of sports stuff. I've been using more of my Netflix lately than anything. Do you have to have smart TVs? Any help or info would be great. Thanks a bunch

Download Terrarium TV. Mine is thru Firestick. Very good for movies and TV series. No sports though. You tube can help you install if you have patience. Quite a few steps. Firestick plugs into HDMI port on your TV. Smart TV not needed.Must have WI FI

I am a fan of Youtube - I don't even have TV in my house

for NFL fans who want to watch their fav team every week that doesn't work out .........

I have yet to find a reliable free stream for NFL games to go w/my firestick...

Terrarium is the best for movies and tv shows etc......

I already did my research - I am not going to pay 150 bucks only for cable TV....

Search GEARS TV on you tube. All you need is an android box. $20per month, and you get everything. Buy far the best thing out there.

Old school? It works great. I don't know if you knew anything about set TV, but I had that for over one year, they folded about three months ago. I've found this for $5/month, couldn't get better. BTW, I have nothing to do with that YouTube channel, just did a random search to give you an idea what it's like. Good luck!

Sham do you get NESN with this?

no? I watched the nesn feed for last night's game through the MLB ticket. So you get every MLB game, same with NBA, NFL, etc. but for this particular service you do not get the standalone Nesn. They provide 63 US sports channels, including almost everything you can think of, even the yes network. I asked them to add New England sports network, we will see what happens. Another service called Eternal TV does include New England sports network, and sports net New England. They have 78 US sports channels. Problem is it's almost impossible trying to get a subscription. They are not greedy, and do not overload the servers. They only take a few subscriptions a week at this point. It is the exact same format as kodi solutions, but they have more channels. I will probably add eternal TV as soon as I can get a subscription. For five dollars a month, guys, you cannot go wrong. Pay-per-view events, all professional sports tickets, all movie channels. It's a no-brainer.
