I have mentioned this numerous times, but here i go again.......COSTCO has the best warranty in the business......NO TIME LIMIT, satisfaction guaranteed...............example:

You can buy a TV from COSTCO and if your not 100% satisfied with it they will take it back, time is not an issue, read this:

Returns or Exchanges
Costco.com has a 100% guarantee on all of our merchandise. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer two convenient return methods. Costco.com refunds include shipping and handling fees.

1. You can return the item to the nearest Costco Wholesale location. To find a location,
please click here.

2. If you are unable to return your order to one of our warehouses, please e-mail us at
customer service. Please include your name, order confirmation number, phone number, and
reason for return. You will be contacted regarding your return within 5 to 7 business days.

Please note, as of November 4th, 2002 , the return policy for all desktop and notebook computers are six months from the date of purchase. Six months after purchase, all computer services and technical support will be subject to the applicable remaining manufacturer?s warranty.

How much stock do you have in COSTO?

LOL ... jk

but seriously ... I never purchase extended warranties as companies like Circuit City, Best Buy, etc... push them to increase their profit and from what I understand ... they make more money off the warranties than the selling of the actual product. Now, if I were buying a Toshiba or Samsung or many other questionable brands, I might think about getting one of those ripoff warranties cause those brands are not ranked very highly in the repair history section of most buying guides.

I own a 32" Phillips and a 50" Sony that i bought from COSTCO.............ask yourself this question? Why would you buy a TV from CC or BB and then buy an extended warranty when COSTCO says we'll take back your TV if your not 100% satisfied with no questions asked and NO time limit??? Listen to this one. I bought a HP printer from COSTCO and took it back 3 years later because it seemed a little slow. On the spot they gave me my money back and I turned around and bought the newer HP. This warranty is truly unbelievable. In addition they have a pretty good selection of TV's, plasma, LCD and DLPS.....................I don't own any COSTCO stock.

2nd example: My son is now on his 3rd digital camera. He started with a 3MP returned it for a 5MP returned it for his new Cannon 7MP.......his reason was the quality of the pictures were better with the higher MP.......freakin COSTCO took them back.............that's just there policy, we want happy customers they say.

the boys thanks for the info, next time i buy t.v.'s i'll definately check it out. i bought my tv from circuit city and got a home service plan, for around 300. i bought my tv for about 2800. they come out 2 times a year to fine tune it and clean it up. seems like a good deal. i always buy my computers from best buy and get the warranty. other people might think it's not worth it, but i absolutely think it is. if the hardware you buy from them goes bad they replace it with the latest version same comperable price. it is nice to be able to take my computer to the nearest best buy when ever there is a problem. it doesnt matter which one you bought it at.
