Looking for a 55-65 inch TV this shopping season. Had a TV repair guy tell me Samsung or LG, the rest is crap. Any suggestions?

I will add this from personal experience with large screen tv's for over 15 years now..

Be sure the SCREEN IS LARGE ENOUGH..

prices and places like Costco make shopping and returning so easy that you don't have to settle for small.

especially in LED.........

when I got my first LCD 45'' I thought it was huge..it wasn't

I got the 55'' LCD ,I thought it was big enough...it wasn't..

I have the 70'' LED ....it ain't BIG ENOUGH........

I'm holding out for an OLED I can afford... so wife will get it after my funeral.

if you are sitting 12 feet away....70'' or larger..

I want to come too. One area of 3 that I have never been too, and I LOVE crab, as well as the job of getting it from claw to mouth. Bill is on me. Truly a bucket list. And, agree with old school. TRUST HIM!!! Go bigger early. Thank him later. I Have an 80 in main living area and LOVE it. Can see from back porch outside window while cooking on grill or BGE. Only way to go. I asked questions also here last couple years.

Well, at least those two keep him employed :142smilie

Sony & Panasonic OLEDs are best i have seen from basic models, if you move to more expensive models i don't think there is much difference. After all all manufacturers have used same OLED-panels in all of their televisions since 2016... or was it 2015... Only UI and software has been improved.
