do we really think the twins are a strong play today? i'm not so sure. i think they need to get out of minnesota and hit the road for a little. they have been getting killed at home by the likes of the giants, padres, and tigers. I think the next 2 days set up nicely for them as they will be in milwaukee with radke and santana pitching those nights. i am very tempted to take them today at home at -110 to avoid the sweep but am having 2nd thoughts. any thoughts out there? i know they are a huge system play today, but i hate backing teams that go in these prolonged slumps. win or lose today, i am going to pound them tomorrow with radke.

i wouldn't touch them today if they were @ plus $$. really struggling offensively. tigers are playing with a lot of confidence right now. minny seems to have lost (at least temporarily) the big homefield adv that they held over the rest of the al central. still think twins make a run at my sox, but don't think it starts today. gl.

not sure its a sure sign, i myself was a little worried when it went up. Same thing happened yesterday with the Cards. I always worry about being on the fav on the first game during the day on a day where there are day games.

no, i hear you. but i have found that when a line moves like that, either for the favorite or the underdog you take that team. however, line movements when a team is favored by more then 150 are not as significant as a line movement when a the game starts off below the 150 range. i usually look for games that the line moves more then 15 cents that is between -110 to -140. it has proven to be a pretty good winner for me. i realize you lose a lot of value or pay more then you would have to if you would have played it earlier but i think it's worth it. the cardinals were big chalk yesterday if i'm not mistaken and they were clearly a square play. don't know too many people on the reds. this game today, although not over yet, looked like a game where a lot of players could have been on detroit, myself included. we'll see what happens, good luck!
