Like the SKins 4 units of 5 + 3 over Falcons. Skins a little better than most realize. The only real weak spot on the club is the D line...they have a good young QB, nice running backs...very good receivers and an excellent kicker on the O..and excellent linebackers and a solid secondary on D. Think the Skins will get some turnovers in this one off of Johnson. He is a solid backup but don't think he's a first stringer. Think the running game of Atlanta won't be too much of a factor and the Falcons won't enjoy as many receivers running open, especially the tight ends as they did against the Cowboys. Skins O won't leave the D on the field like the Cowboys. Think Ramsey will have another real solid game...this guy's got a great arm and is nifty around the pocket...he will hookup with Coles a few times deep.

Skins +150 ML 2 units of 5. Will play the money line as well on this one...Skins have 4 real tough games in row after this one...think they will springboard off their opener with another solide performance. Confidence is real high now. Atlanta will tread water until Vick gets back and go 500...Skins 27 Falcons 17.

Carolina +9. 3 unit of 5 After TB's excellent performance Monday, think they have a bit of a letdown here. Carolina found their QB in the 2nd half last week, just in time. Carolina is a very physical club that won't back down from TB. Think this one will come down to a FG with an out and out upset not impossible TB 16 Carolina 13.

Season Record

YTD 5 units=0
4 units= 2-0 + 8 units
3 units=1-2 - 4.2 units
2 units= 0
1 unit=0
Total= +3.8 units

Will play the Texans +8 for 3 units. Think you have an underrated team versus an overrated one. Theory has it that Texans will be flat off a big win and Saints sky high after a bad loss...Texans coach I think keeps this team up and now have added confidence. Saints tend to turn the ball over a lot and the Texans D is pretty good. Think this one will come down to a field goal and an outright Texans winner wouldn't be shock. Saints an explosive but error prone team...give me the D and discipline in this one. Saints 23 Texans 20.

Will follow Skeeter 1 with under 43 in the SD/Den game for 3 units. I hadn't thought about this one until reading his writeup...Shottenheimer likes the old 3 yards and cloud of dust...he will run it just to prove a point and hope to wear you down by the 4th quarter...problem with this approach is often you are so far behind that you can't grind it out (like last week)...he simply won't change...and then the question is will Denver jump out to a big lead...something tells me no...Jake Plummer showed his true colors last week and the team won in spite of him...Denver won't get the turnovers like last week and this one will play close throughout and expect lots of FGs..Denver 19 SD 16.
