I think I wrote the stuff below in the cfb forum and I'll put it here.
It may have been "yanno", whose an MJ member, that asked me EXACTLY how I bet the teasers and come up with the picks.
No "exactlies" (too long to write) but the steps I take are:
1. Weed out teams that I know little or nuthin about and give a little bit more credit for teams that I've watched and liked. There is a little more to do in this step also.
BTW, yesterday even doing this step was a project with all them dang teams playing. It doesn't take much these days to get into post season tournaments does it? Thinking mostly football.
2. I use matchups like most of us do but I track each stat and generate "adjusters" to the nos. the stat is. F'rinstance, two important stats are SOS (strength of schedule) and pts/game. Based on my records - the former (SOS) is a stronger factor and I will multiply it with my "adjuster". The calculated adjuster could be something like 1.55 or whatever. I do this for all the factors I use addem up and come up with a rating for that team.
3. I use the difference between ratings of the two teams and correlate that with the actual line. Can't get into that part here. Too long.
Here's the part that might interest yas most -
The objective is to beat the regular line and usually something like 3 out of 5 will. Those are the ones I post here cause that's where the interest lies here. FOR ME, they get an insurance policy called a TEASER. Those things work for me, that is. I chose the top two teams I posted here, and sure enough EVERY one of my top FOUR rated teams covered the reg. line Thurs.
Cinncity (cfb vs. BC) - I planned on making a 4 teamer with this one cause I like adding a team from a different sport in exotic bets. Didn't realize they played early and missed the boat when I looked for them when putting in the teaser.
Minny (baskets vs. Purdue) - One of these days I'm gonna put a M.L. bet on one of my top 4 plicks. Dangit.
I don't keep tract of my posting record but usually post the cut n paste thingy from my Dimes report. Much easier than typing.

Maybe I can come up with something for today; I am really surprised that it is Baskets that are working in my teasers/parlays a little better than them Footsbawlers. :scared
I was posting in FB forum before basketball and started late here because of that.
